Santorum on Perry: ‘We’re not
in Texas, anymore’

Posted at 9:52 pm by: CNN's
Ashley Killough

(CNN) – Using some of the
strongest words yet for Texas Gov.
Rick Perry, former Pennsylvania
Sen. Rick Santorum blasted his
fellow GOP presidential candidate
Tuesday.
Santorum said on CNN’s “John
King, USA” that Perry has already
“stepped on it a couple times” since
entering the race Saturday, arguing
the governor’s comments about
Federal Reserve Chairman Ben
Bernanke were “completely out of
bounds.”
“We don’t charge people with
treason because we disagree with
them on public policy,” Santorum
said. “You don’t up the ante to that
type of rhetoric. It’s out of place.”
Perry has been under fire since
Monday night when he said the
idea of Bernanke issuing more
money through the Federal Reserve
for political reasons would be
almost “treasonous.”
“If this guy prints more money
between now and the election, I
don’t know what y’all would do to
him in Iowa, but we would treat
him pretty ugly down in Texas,”
Perry said.
Santorum, who announced his bid
for president on June 6, took
swipes at Perry’s political style.
“Washington, D.C., is not Austin,”
Santorum said. “My sense is that
he’s going to have a pretty big
learning curve.”
Later, he added: “Hopefully Gov.
Perry will step back and recognize
that we’re not in Texas, anymore.”

If there's Santorum on Perry's Ass someone should hand him a paper towel.

That's disgusting.

If you think THAT's bad, now we have to figure out how Perry got Santorum all over his ass.

PS: Yay, for the Google!

Hey Fellixe, did you intend to make the title ironic?

Anyway, Santorum (the former senator, not, er, never mind) doens't stand a chance. Running mainly on family values is so last century. To his credit, he is turning up the shit on the poor rhetoric, so if he hangs in till South Carolina, he might come in third.

I loves me some irony and am a whore for the laugh. But check the article in the OP and I really didn't change it that much.

It will be interesting to see if he hangs in for a while. He has all the chance of a donut in a police briefing but he might inadvertently inject some sense into these candidates if he keeps tacking towards territory the others won't touch - such as the moral high ground.
