We knew it was someone, we even knew there was a possibility that it was another presidential campaigner. Now we know that Herman CainHerman Cain’s camp is blaming Rick PerryRick Perry’s campaign for leaking the sexual harassment scandal.
Politico first reported that two women were compensated for sexual harassment by Cain when he was head of the National Restaurant Association. There are reports that a third woman has come forth. Cain’s campaigners have been looking for the rooster that crowed. Today, they strutted their feathers and sharpened their talons against Rick Perry.
Mark Block, Cain’s campaign chief of staff, told Fox News; “This is one of the actions in America that is the reason why people don’t get involved in politics. The actions of the Perry campaign are despicable. Rick Perry and his campaign owe Herman Cain and his family an apology.”
Curt Anderson, former Cain consultant, and Chris Wilson, former pollster for the restaurant association, are now pro-Perry people. Wilson is part of the pro-Perry "super political action committee."
Neither man has admitted to leaking the story of Cain’s impropriety to the press. Cain is expecting an apology from Politico and Anderson and Wilson.
Anderson stated; "I've known Herman Cain for about seven years. I was one of several consultants on his Senate race in 2004 and was proud to help him. I'd never heard any of these allegations until I read them in Politico, nor does anything I read in the press change my opinion that Herman is an upstanding man and a gentleman."
Perry campaign spokesman Ray Sullivan stated; “no one at our campaign was involved in this story in any way. Any claim to the contrary is patently false. The first we learned of it was when we read it in Politico
