Freshman U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh, a tax-bashing Tea Party champion who sharply lectures President Barack Obama and other Democrats on fiscal responsibility, owes more than $100,000 in child support to his ex-wife and three children, according to documents his ex-wife filed in their divorce case in December.
---------------
In addition to the foreclosure on his condominium, Walsh was haunted during his campaign by disclosures of liens on his property from unpaid bills and staffers abandoning his campaign, saying he wasn’t paying them.

Keith Liscio, who said Walsh hired him to be campaign manager — Walsh disputes that — has sued Walsh for $20,000 in salary he said Walsh owes him. Both sides are trying to settle that case.

In court documents, after his ex-wife, Laura Walsh, asked a judge to suspend his driver’s license until he paid his child support, Joe Walsh asks his ex-wife’s lawyer: “Have you no decency?”

Walsh’s energetic Tea Party politics are making him the darling of cable TV. He addressed a Tea Party rally Wednesday at the Capitol and appeared Wednesday night on CNN saying he and other “troublesome conservatives” in the House won’t vote for anything less than “a profound deal that will change this town so we never get to this point again.”

Deadbeat Congressman Joe Walsh still not paying his child support

judge in Chicago issued a preliminary ruling Wednesday against U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) in the Tea Party favorite’s child-support dispute with his ex-wife, ordering Walsh to explain why he appears to be $100,000 behind on his child-support payments.
Cook County Circuit Judge Raul Vega also wanted to know why Walsh wasn’t in court for the hearing — the McHenry Republican’s ex-wife, Laura Walsh was — and said he expects him to show up at the next hearing, in November.

Walsh’s new attorney, Janet Boyle, asked Vega “for what purpose” he wanted the congressman in court.

Vega gave her a puzzled look.

To which Boyle responded: “Mr. Walsh is a U.S. congressman.”

“Well, he’s no different than anyone else,” the judge said.

Joe Walsh says media will protect Obama because he's black

Ah, deadbeat dad Joe Walsh. When he's not piling it higher, he's digging it deeper. Via Think Progress:

WALSH: Reagan was beautiful because Reagan simplified everything, so let’s simplify it. This guy pushed every one of the media’s buttons. He was liberal, he was different, he was new, he was black. Oh my God, it was the potpourri of everything. They are so vested in our first black president not being a failure that it’s going to be amazing to watch the lengths they go to protect him. They [the media], I believe, will spout this racist line if some of their colleagues up here aren’t doing it aggressively enough. There is going to be a real desperation.

"Perennial favorites Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) barely lost out to newcomer Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) in the online race to be named the Most Corrupt Member of Congress, and consequently September’s Scoundrel of the Month. The deadbeat dad received the most votes of any of those included on Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington’s (CREW) annual Most Corrupt Members of Congress list. Every member on the list received at least some support from the online electorate.

“CREW doesn’t rank the Most Corrupt Members of Congress, but failing to pay more than 100k in child support and filing false financial disclosure reports made Rep. Walsh a contender,” said CREW Executive Director Melanie Sloan. “This is not to say the other members weren’t worthy of the top spot. Reps. Buchanan, Rivera and Meeks are all facing serious legal trouble that could soon land them in handcuffs, and Sen. Vitter even tried to bribe the Secretary of the Interior.

Maxine doesnt belong in that list, even if she is guilty, she is a novice compared to most of the republicans who exist solely because they are bought and paid for by terrorists...

Rep. Joe Walsh Melts Down, Screams At Constituents: ‘Dont Blame Banks!…I Am Tired Of Hearing That Crap!’

Walsh lost his cool when several attendees asked about why banks have so much power in government. At one point, Walsh even threatened to eject a man who asked Walsh about the revolving door of bank lobbyists infiltrating Congress and financial regulatory agencies.

Walsh at one point screamed, “don’t blame the banks … this pisses me off!” After several constituents accurately pointed out that bank lobbyists occupy key positions within Congress, the SEC, and other oversight bodies that are supposed to supervise bank practices, Walsh began sticking his finger close to his constituent’s faces, yelling, “quiet for a minute or I’ll have to ask you to leave.” The constituent, who had calmly asked his question before being cut-off midway through his sentence, obliged:

Deadbeat dad Joe Walsh outraged that he can't send Xmas cards on taxpayers' dime

Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) may just be the biggest douchehole in Congress—which is a very competitive field. He's a deadbeat dad who refuses to pay the $100,000 plus he owes in child support, but will gladly collect an award from the uber-conservative hate group Family Research Council for, yes, being sooooooooooo "pro-family."

He's also a deadbeat driver, receiving multiple tickets, having his license suspended, and failing to pay his car insurance.

And now he's enlisting in the Fox-created War on Christmas:

There are certain members of Congress that you can reliably count on as being miserable excuses for human beings, people who seem to have no lower bounds when it comes to saying rotten things or supporting legislative "ideas" ranging anywhere from asinine to outright cruel. Congressman Joe Walsh (R-Deadbeat Dad) is one of those.

The latest example comes from Politico, where things Joe Walsh willingly and apparently not-at-all-drunkenly said to interviewer David Catanese are coming back to bite him, as they very well should:

Sitting inside a coffee shop during a recent 30-minute interview, Walsh had several of his trademark characteristics on display: a feverish intensity, an embrace of rhetorical combat and unfettered criticism of his opponent, who lost both of her legs and part of her right arm in 2004 after her helicopter was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade.

“I have so much respect for what she did in the fact that she sacrificed her body for this country,” said Walsh, simultaneously lowering his voice as he leaned forward before pausing for dramatic effect. “Ehhh. Now let’s move on.”

Really? That's his attack against Democrat Tammy Duckworth? Sure, you lost two legs and part of your arm while serving in Iraq, but what have you done for me lately? Wow. Screw you, guy.

How can this guy ever get re-elected. The following story by meteor blades which appears in italics, just outlines Walsh's continued evidence that leads me to belive he is indeed psychopathic............In case you don't know, Tammy Duckworth lost both lower legs and the use of one arm in Iraq.....

You would think that after his incredibly insulting characterication of Tammy Duckworth two weeks ago, Joe Walsh, or someone on the tea party Republican congressman's campaign staff, would be a bit more careful. But no. Over the weekend, the campaign web site included a challenge to his Democratic opponent in Illinois's 8th district. He asked her to show up on Sunday to debate the issues at a town hall meeting. The web invitation seems more like a gotcha: I-know-you-won't-come-but-this-will-let-me-diss-you-to-the-audience-when-you-don't-show-up.

In fact, Duckworth couldn't show up because she was attending to her obligations as a lieutenant colonel in the Army National Guard. Unless, Walsh's campaign staffers are utterly incompetent, they had to know what Duckworth's schedule was before the challenge was issued. Ten bucks says they did know.
