The Tea Party Express is off on another national tour through Sept. 12th. The dates are on the link below. Each event will be a lemming magnet, the perfect time and place to inundate Donny Dittohead with disturbing truths. Since the media Donny devours would never share these truths, we have to seize this opportunity to capitalize on our only way to contact him directly: with large signs on the streets leading to these events.

This is exactly what the concept of miniprotesting was conceived for. Rather than counting on an amorphous mob filled with bobbing signs that never get direct attention, miniprotests are made up of three small groups of four spread out over three consecutive street corners. Each group within this protest string has a central miniprotester holding a main 30" x 40" main sign at waist level. The three main signs provide a running message, with a few seconds for motorists to digest each part before they see the next. Miniprotests add the power to convince to the impact of protesting by using the Socratic method and planting slogans that stick.

Here's what Donny and his stripe-laden friends should see as they get within ten blocks of their event:

Corner #1: Tea Party Rage Harnessed to Support Corporate Agenda NOT Freedom and Liberty

The three folks around her will hold traditional overhead signs that say, "You Pay Less Taxes Under Obama than with Bush" and "Question Your Tea Party Masters" and "Tea Party Kingpins Don't Care About You."

Then a block later the incoming Tea Partiers will see another group with this main sign in its center:

Corner #2: Tea Party Express Driven by Big Oil, Corporate Extremists, DC Lobbyists

And the block after that they'll see the final sign along this particular protest string:

Corner #3: Tea Party Master Plan: Crush US Economy so Obama Won't Get Reelected

Since that first message was delivered with just a dozen people, with 60 you can have five separate miniprotests. You can either have them lining streets on each possible inbound artery to the event, or have multiple miniprotests along the same route with different main sign inscriptions sets like:

Corner #2: Tea Party WANTS AMERICA TO SUFFER So Blame on Obama Will Cost Him a Second Term

So use those main sign inscriptions above or make some of your own. Email them to FedEx/Kinko's and have them enlarged to 400% and printed out on their 36"-wide roll paper. Buy some 30"x 40" white foam board at Staples. Cut some hand holds near the top. Tape on the inscriptions. Have your friends bring some overhead signs and you're ready to give the Tea Party loyalists something to think about when their leaders speak. Perhaps they'll notice the corporate undercurrent in the agenda. Perhaps they'll notice a few lies used to manipulate them.

And if those big brown Tea Party Express buses pass by those same miniprotesting main sign inscription sets town after town, they'll realize that the biggest lemming is the first one off the cliff.

Whatever the cause, miniprotesting is the best way to bring it directly to the people. This is where the Dem landslide of 2012 starts.
