Good morning to my fellow Super Tuesday staters!

Who are you liking? Alexandra Petri at Washington Post has a suggestion:

OH seems to be the main battleground state.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articl ... pe_up.html

Looking at the right hand tab and 5 different polls, only one poll calls the race a tie, the other 4 polls are all giving it to Romney by 1-5 points.

Your state (GA), is in the bag for Gingrich, I guess you know.

Paul is looking for his first wins in the small, caucus states of Alaska, North Dakota, and Idaho. It could happen in 2 out of the 3, but Idaho has a large Mormon pop. so that's more iffy. Of course, in terms of what really matters, delegates, wins in those states won't matter much.

Sanatorium may take Oklahoma and Tennessee.

But that may be it. His Santomentum may be running down. And Newt's not gonna get anything other than his home state.

Nate Silver of 538 is calling Ohio for Romney, and calling TN for Sanatorium, but both look to be close.

http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/

Nobody seems to have any polls or projections for Alaska, North Dakota, or Idaho.  ;)

Srsly, either way, I just don't see how rethugs generate any buzz around either of these tepid examples of human filth.

You did hear how mittens got another key endorsement. Babs Bush

MSNBC projects Santorum for TN, OH for Romney, but with a very narrow margin. Things could be different by morning. :D

wow...Mean Jean Schmidt goes down in defeat

Quote:
George Abraham, an 81-year-old retiree and tea party supporter, said he voted for Wenstrup, in part because he was annoyed by Schmidt’s schmoozing with President Barack Obama at the State of the Union speech.

“Anyone that goes up there and gives Mr. Obama a hug can’t get my vote, I’m sorry,” Abraham said Tuesday, after casting his ballot at St. Rose Church on Eastern Ave.

I had a feeling her rush to the aisle @ the SOTU speech might get her in trouble....but seriously? that was his REASONING??

:wtf:

 Two words: tea party and 81.

Dunno what kind of screwball Wenstrup is, but at least he can't be much crazier than Schmidt.

Huh, well, looks like Paul didn't even take Alaska, ND, or Idaho. Still nothing in his column.

Romney "squeezes out Santorum" again in OH 38%-37% but gets way more delegates (35 to his 21) because Rick was disorganized.

BTW, Romney came in third in North Dakota ... behind Ron Paul. Paul also was in 2nd place ahead of Santorum in Vermont. And got 40% in the "2 person race" in VA. Alas, all that will still buy him few delegates and a cup of coffee.

Delegate totals
Romney 411
Santorum 176

Dunno ... can't see too many scenarios where it's not Mittens in Tampa. Rick had a decent night, though, 4 states. I can see him staying in, but don't get why Newt thinks he still has a shot.

Because Newt, along with the rest of them, is too arrogant to think he could lose.

Okay, confession time. I got to my polling place and just couldn't stomach checking the "Republican" box and picking one of those four. So, I checked "Democratic" and voted "Yes" on the Sunday liquor sales referendum.

I checked the results this morning, and in my county, Barack Obama won more votes than the Republican winner, Mittens.

MITTENS: 13971 (39.15%)
NEWTIE: 12723 (35.65%)
FROTHY: 4450 (12.47%)
RON: 3931 (11.01%)

BARACK: 24594

And yes, the Sunday Sales referendum passed:

YES 44563 (73.44%)
NO 16116 (26.56%)

In other words, more people voted to uphold a Blue Law than voted for the Republican frontrunner.

But then, this is a blue island in a VERY red sea.

Obama: 547,588 votes (100 percent of the Democratic primary vote)

Romney: 456,205 votes (37.95 percent of the Republican primary vote)
Santorum: 445,697 votes (37.07 percent of the Republican primary vote)
Barack Obama won more votes Ohio to win the Ohio primary vote
