That is what we are up against.

The other day after Obama invoked executive privelege one of my coworkers called him 'King Obama'. He said he doesn't like Romney but is going to hold his nose and vote for him. No matter what I say about 'Pesident Obama' being better than Mitt and Mitt being bad for us, he stands firm. His motivation is strong. At this point I don't even care why he chooses to vote 'r', I just know I need to nullify his vote. There is only one way I can do that and that is to vote myself.

I worry that the right might regain control and rev up their little war toy again. I think our mission ought to be more about getting lefties to the polls than trying to convince righties they're wrong.

thank you very much for sharing this and i think you are right to a certain degree. we should continue to work and gain momentum much like we saw in 2008. this time we are up against voter's rights violations as well as the 99% astroturf movements. we're being hit on all sides and we have to shut em down.

Well, with that attitude, i am sure he NEVER voted for W and hates W, right?

I was quick to remind/inform him that 'w' issued more signing statements than all his predecessors combined, and all that with a rubber stamp congress. He didn't comment on that.

I keep trying to pin him down on his reason for hating Obama. First it was 'he's gonna take our guns', I reminded/informed him about how law enforcement were confiscating citizens weapons after Katrina, (under 'w's watch). Then asked him if he still had his guns. He has since abandoned that excuse. Then it was 'they are taking our rights away'. I asked him if he was aware that it was Bush/Co who created The Patriot Act. crickets...

Oh well, that's a lost cause. There will be no convincing him, or the many like him. Our only option is to overwhelm them at the polls.

and then people wonder why informed liberals make the suggestion that it's about race.

here's a few clues,
when a President gets heckled during a speech by a hetero, anglo saxon conGREASEman,
then a President gets heckled at a press conference by an anglo-saxon,
and when a President isn't liked by a hetero, anglo-saxon, yet when asked about policy and you get crickets,
when any white President would have been adored by the many policies he's come up with,
IT'S ABOUT RACE!

Agreed, but as I said earlier, I don't care why anymore, I can't fix their prejudices. It's just about beating them now. I would love to see lame duck Obama with a friendly Congress.

I'm going to see the Prez again tomorrow. It will be my first time seeing him as President. You are right. We have to show up in massive numbers. Numbers so large that it takes the con heart and bludgeon it into tiny lifeless pieces of putrid flesh. Make his coattails so large that cons slit their own wrists. Numbers so massive that con blood flows in the streets. This thing they call conservatism must die.

When they say anyone but Obama, then I tell them how terrible the government is and how the dems and repubs are all on the same side. Get them fired up that the whole government needs to go then throw in a little "forget about voting" idea and hope it sticks. Those repubs HATE the government and it is an easy persuasion.

Here is a great article about 10 persuasion techniques

http://www.copyblogger.com/persuasive-writing/

1. repetition
2. reason why
3. consistency
4. social proof
5. comparisons
6. Agitate and Solve
7. Prognosticate
8. Go Tribal
9. Address Objections
10. Storytelling

IN this case, I use repetition, reason why, social proof, and agitate and solve.

Live national tv, Willard holding a loaded 44 magnum, shoots and kills babies for 5 mins, his supporters will race to the polls, RACE to the polls, to still vote for him...

they hate, with deep and disgusting passion, Obama, solely because he is Black and dares to also be a Democrat...who in the hell does he think he is.

people roll their eyes "it's not about race, quit making it about race", okay fine. but don't shoot the messanger! quit giving us examples to point out and we'll stop pointing out the bigotry! ms tn intern who forwarded a bigoted email stamped "joke". mr mccain supporter with stuffed monkey wearing an Obama t-shirt. and on and on. pointing out bad behavior is pointing out bad behavior, and with regards to President Obama, this behavior is bigotry!

whenever these bytches whine about 'making it about race' tell them that the white anglo-saxon male has used ALL THE CARDS IN THE DECK, so don't fuccn get on me about using 'the race card', or my white female friend using 'the gender card', or my LGBT friend using 'the queer card', etc.

stop dealing from the bottom of the deck, azzwipe....

Romney is a stiffer, less charismatic version of 2004 presidential candidate John Kerry.

According to the most recent available polling numbers and map here (http://freedomslighthouse.net/2012-pres ... -vote-map/) Obama already has 271 electoral votes sewn up. That's one more than he needs to get reelected if you are keeping score at home.

I'd like nothing more than to see two political heavyweights duke it out in every presidential election. Not something we will see in 2012 cuz Mitt ain't it.

Maybe we'll get two solid candidates to run against each other in 2016....but I ain't gonna hold my breath.
