We May Not Know Fake Birth Certificates, But We Know Fake Software!

Two SC Tea Party Leaders Arrested for Selling Pirated Software

A Tea Party (or Tea P-Arrrrrr!-ty) leader in South Carolina was arrested Tuesday for allegedly selling pirated versions of Microsoft software, Photoshop, and the Rosetta Stone language programs.

Anthony and Michael Trinca, 61 and 23 respectively, were arrested after a witness claimed that in May he purchased six copies of Rosetta Stone from Anthony Trinca through Craigslist for $125 each, but then discovered they were fake when tried to resell two of them. After refunding his own customers, the victim said he tried to get his money back from Trinca, who refused.

Such admirable fellows, working their fingers to the bone with no help from anyone. :)

Sounds like the Trincas should have given that person a refund. Well all for the best since this team of family thieves has been detected and put out of business.

New statements show South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson owed at least $165,000 in loans and credit-card debt last year.

Wilson (R-West Columbia) reported the debts on his recently released personal financial disclosure statements for 2010.

Congressional lawmakers are required to file the statements each year. The statements report assets in broad ranges and are not required to include a lawmaker's primary residence.
Wilson's statement shows he owed between $165,000 and $325,000 in six personal loans, one home-equity loan, and credit card debt.

Wilson reported total liabilities between $765,000 and $1.57 million. That includes two mortgages -- each worth between $250,000 and $500,000 -- for properties in Washington and Sapphire, N.C., and a mortgage worth between $100,000 to $250,000 for property in Springdale.

Like other House Republicans, Wilson has criticized the Obama administration for "job-killing" economic policies, and has urged spending cuts and fiscal restraint.

On June 22, he delivered a floor speech accusing the administration of "spending and borrowing money at a reckless rate."

Chip Cravaak (TP) Minnesota

Even as he bashed unions during his election campaign, Cravaak enjoyed the benefits of being a member of one. He worked as a pilot for Northwest Air, now Delta, as recently as 2007 and being a pilot means that you are automatically a union member, thus receiving the benefits of union negotiated salaries, vacations and ultimately, disability payments. According to financial records released by Cravaak himself, the Tea Party Representative received $92,273 from disability payments in 2010 alone. So while Cravaak was busy bashing “big government” and unions, he was cashing disability checks.

But this isn’t the only example of his hypocrisy. In addition to receiving Congressional health care, which is paid for by the government, Cravaak also receives government run health care as a military veteran, meaning he can walk into any government owned medical facility to receive medical care and the taxpayer picks up the tab. He enjoys what he and the Tea Party call “socialized medicine” even as he votes to strip senior citizens of their own government health care.

This kind of hypocrisy is outrageous. This guy got elected after campaigning against unions and government run health care and yet it’s perfectly fine that he gets to enjoy the benefits of both. Just another example of ‘do what I say, not as I do’ politics in America.

Sad Tea Party freshman hates his stupid new job

Southerland learned the hard way that being a congressman is not all fun and games. He barely earns enough to get by!

He said his $174,000 salary is not so much, considering the hours a member of the House puts in, and that he had to sever ties with his family business in Panama City. Southerland also said there are no instant pensions or free health insurance, as some of his constituents often ask him about in Congress.

Median income in Southerland's district: $34,718.

(And the health insurance isn't "free," but it is high-quality group private insurance with relatively cheap plans subsidized by Southerland's employer, the federal government. And he'll qualify for the pension in a couple of years, if he's reelected.)

He's also upset that he isn't allowed to run his family business while serving as a congressman. There was apparently an actual civics teacher in attendance, to laugh at him:

And now we better understand why these assholes are having the police seize recording devices at "Town Hall" meetings, why they're limiting their appearances to events (usually for local service clubs) where attendees have to pay to get in, and why many others are simply refusing to attend any public functions at all.

Which gets a member of congress in bigger trouble? Saying they're out of town on a fact-finding trip, or turning up at one of these events and saying shit this stupid?

To think: These people actually insist they know how to run our government.

First Sarah Palin was scheduled to attend the Tea Party of America's Iowa rally this weekend. Then Christine O'Donnell was invited. Then Christine O'Donnell was uninvited. Then she was re-invited. Now Palin is out. Maybe.

Easy to follow, right? According to the Wall Street Journal, Palin will not share the stage with O'Donnell, who she famously endorsed in 2010, because the ex-governor is sick of "continual lying" by the event's organizers.

Now O'Donnell has been uninvited, again (she was uninvited once because even other tea partiers were complaining about the invite, but then re-invited, so this is now the second un-invitation). And maybe Palin will now be showing up again, but it's still not confirmed.

Event organizers are being almost goofily circumspect about what's going on, but every indication is that Palin just doesn't want to be seen with O'Donnell:

Tea Party Favorite Christine O’Donnell Gets Crowd of Five for Book

Tea Party darling Christine O’Donnell’s book signing in Republican Naples, Florida drew a total of five people. Five. Five people. That’s it. Just like a Sarah Palin event, the media outnumbered the actual attendees.

The next day she headed over to a yacht club (keepin’ it real!) in Fort Lauderdale at the invite of the Broward Republicans (apparently she’s still a secret crush within the GOP). According to the Broward Palm Beach blog, after that book signing she headed over to Fox News to ask Republicans to pray for her.

I don’t know why she felt like she had to ask, seeing as according to Republicans God runs Fox, but perhaps she’s feeling desperate. The polls are horrible for the Tea Party. No one shows up at their rallies. They’re in debt for a canceled Vegas conference. This little foray into rebranding the failure of the W GOP is over — And yet our media gave O’Donnell tons of coverage. She even got an interview on Piers Morgan (that she walked off of).

It’s time for the Lame Stream Media to quit their Tea Party addiction. I know they’re jonesing for the costumes, the misspelled signs, the inevitable easy drama of white rage meeting Medicare recipients who think they’re Libertarians, the yellow flags, the big guns, the pseudo patriotism – it’s all so made-for-TV/insta-hit high.

But it’s over.

First the first con's in, then the first con's out, then the next con's in, then the schedule shifts about. The one says "okey-dokey" and the witch begins to pout. That's what its all about!

15 Tea Party freshmen Congressmen have raked in $3.5 million in lobbyists contributions in the first 9 months in Congress?

Oh, I'm sure it's all legal, which id the problem of course. But these are the people who went to DC to change things.

See the full list of contributors and their targets here:
