I think they were well deserved and Obama did a splendid job but I guess the Donald can't laugh at himself.

And Randi is right; the Donald knows he is full of crap but will keep up the birther BS just to keep his name out there with the fringees..............

I got a minor quibble with that. It's NOT just with the fringees. He's been on every cable news net with that bullshit, virtually every web site - now including this one. Countless popular magazines such as People, US, EW and the like will at least reference it, and there will be a great many other mentions of him and it throughout pop culture, from talk shows, to sitcoms, to comments from stages issued by stand-ups and singers.

It's helping him be EXTREMELY successful at getting the brand out there, and imprinting it on millions upon millions of eyeballs and ears, including those at every imaginable level of society. The douche is getting exactly what he wants, and at a cost that means absolutely NOTHING to him: Dignity.

Yeah, it's frustrating. Even mentioning his name in the context of dismissing him as a fucking moron is still giving him exactly what he wants.

My title was in response to Randi's inquiry as to reasons why Trump may be reliving the Birther BS.

Randi was wondering (as we all are) as to why Trump would bring this up again and why Mittens would associate himself with this crap and not discount it. As Randi suggested, Trump knows he is full of crap and is continuing this rant to bring the fringe voters into Mitt's camp, even tough they may not like him.

While Mitt may welcome (shown by not disassociating himself from Trump) my feeling is Trump is peed at Obama for handing him a perfect slapdown at the 2011 correspondents meeting that Randi was playing and he most likely thinks this renewal of this subject is some kind of revenge against Obama for that slapdown that will work.

And as Randi suggested, the birther crap will only bring in a certain segment to the Mitt.

I think in the long term this will hurt the Mitt, which is why I think the Donald should stay with Mitt and make them both look like fools.

I do not listen to Fox News on the radio, but I do listen to KXL, Portland's Fox affiliate, because they have the best traffic updates during the drive times. They know their market. During those peak times they stick to locally produced news stories rather than syndicated programming because the majority of us would turn them off. That said, they still inflict us with sixty seconds Lars Larsen spouting his nonsense. Since Lars is a tool, he is a reliable meme detector. If he's talking about something, it's what he's been told to talk about.

Yesterday he said (and I paraphrase) "Barrack Hussein Obama still has a lot to answer for about his nationality". He went on to touch all the old high points - as a child, did he have an American passport when he lived abroad in Indonesia? Did he attend madrasas? Why did his former publicist describe his as born in Kenya? Why has Barrack Hussein Obama refused to answer the publics legitimate questions about his past? The only old tart Lars didn't bring up was "he hasn't shown us his birth certificate" which frankly surprised me since Lars used every other birther talking point.

Because, as I've learned, in CT-land, with its CT-logic, nobody ever makes mistakes or screws up.

Everything is intentional. Mistaken friendly fire doesn't happen. Publicists don't make mistakes. People don't mis-speak.

It's why sometimes I wish we lived in CT-land, where mistakes are never made.

And I think that IS Romney's rationale for associating himself with Trump, and for not condemning Trump's BS. But I remain certain that Trump's motives are exclusive to benefits enjoyed by Trump, and THAT is the national and international repetition of his name in virtually every form of media across the globe. I think he's the modern personification of, "As long as they spell the name right..."

I don't think Trump actually gives a flip who is President, or why.

But I do believe that he is really, really pissed off at the President for making fun of him. I'd be willing to bet he's not the kind of man to take that stuff in stride and let it pass without "getting revenge". Even if that revenge only makes him look even more like the fool he is.

Trump doesn't strike me as a thinking man. He's more of an emotional reactionary.

Oh, yeah - I could buy that easy.

Well then, let's not dismiss him as a fucking mor-on. He wants mor, give him less.

I'd suggest a fucking less-on, and dismiss him as a T-rump bott-om.

I'll bet that would be giving him something he wouldn't want.

Hmmm, on that note - pushing the meme that he's a shaved-ass marmoset-wearing fool will piss him off to the point of having a stroke in public....thus promoting stroke awareness and something good could actually come from something that should have been recycled thru the "old ass-clown's home for the unrepentant."
