Call the president a drug dealer on national television, retract it on Twitter ...

And because it IS FOX, if anyone ever gets a correction/retraction/apology out of them, it will sound a little bit like this:

On May 10 Eric Bolling said President Barack Obama has sold drugs when he was in high school and college. Further, Bolling said that the President had admitted to selling cocaine and/or marijuana. In fact, Obama has not admitted to having sold drugs. Again, to be clear, he has NOT admitted it. Faced with repeated reports that he sold drugs, the President has thus far only admitted to having used those drugs.

------------------------------------

Bolling said he was wrong via tweet this morning, but it's not clear how many viewers of the two Fox programs where Bolling made his allegations are "following" Bolling on Twitter.

Terrifyingly Hilarious: Nebraska Woman Gives The Most Amazingly Bonkers Anti-Gay Rant Ever
video by Jon Bershad | 12:21 pm, May 11th, 2012

Snip:

You know what’s not funny? Hate. You know what’s also not funny? People going on hate-filled rants. However, you know what is funny, people going on hate-filled rants that make so little sense that they sound like someone took the worst comments from a political message board, mixed all the words around, translated them to Japanese, and then translated them back. And that’s what happened at a council meeting in Lincoln, Nebraska and it resulted in one of the craziest videos you’ll see this week.

Recently, Nebraskan cities have been trying to deal with the lack of protection that LGBT citizens have from discrimination. The state’s anti-discrimination laws don’t cover sexual orientation. YouTube user aksarbent has been uploading videos of some of the more interesting moments from hearings on the issue. One of them, he or she labeled “Best in Show!” and, good lord, is that not hyperbole.

The Real Fraud: Second ‘Non-Citizen’ In James O’Keefe Voter Fraud Video Naturalized In 2011

By Scott Keyes on May 16, 2012 at 2:00 pm

In conservative filmmaker James O’Keefe’s latest video, he features two “non-citizens” who have supposedly committed voter fraud in North Carolina. As ThinkProgress reported yesterday, one of the men, Zbigniew Gorzkowski, has actually been an American citizens for decades.

Now, it turns out that the second “non-citizen,” William Romero, is actually a citizen as well, according to his family.

The video opens with O’Keefe’s cameraman walking up Romero’s driveway and confronting a member of his family about whether he is a citizen. O’Keefe points to court records from 2010 where Romero was excused from jury duty because he was not a citizen at the time. Therefore, as O’Keefe argues, Romero’s voter registration dated December 5, 2011 is fraudulent because Romero “is not a United States citizen.”
<snip>

In fact, Romero’s family told ThinkProgress he became a naturalized citizen in early 2011.

Whether they're alleging conspiracy and corruption on their local city council, or national and international conspiracies, plots, campaigns, etc., one will find public speakers JUST like this one at meetings for virtually every city council, town council, county supervisors, board of selectmen, and all other varieties of public bodies.

Locally, each week my city hears from a couple who are on the "Agenda 21 - UN Conspiracy" bandwagon. It doesn't help that there is one council member who has bought into the garbage, and so he joins in on the rants that the words "sustainability" and "planning" and "environmental" are all key "identifiers." Spot those words in a document, a staff report, an email, etc, and there's your PROOF that the author is part of the worldwide plot.

And the council member will - every time - congratulate the speakers for taking their lives in their hands, and for "having the courage to speak up." Of course, that the speakers and the elected official are ridiculed by others is MORE proof of how the plotters are seeking to discredit them.

Of course, the rants aren't limited to the 9-11 loon trash, or Agenda21, etc. Every time a council member makes ANY decision the loons don't like, it's further evidence of the supposed pay-offs, special favors, etc. And in the end, there is NOTHING easier than convincing people their elected officials are corrupt. They can't even JUST be stupid, rubber stamps, or folks who hold far different priorities. Vote in a way the accuser doesn't like, and you're taking money. Cast a vote the accuser supports, and the same official has only done it because the accuser put so much heat on them and thankfully got the word out just in time.

What I've learned about conservatives in the last few months
Scootaloo @ DU

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=732425

SNIP:

Quote:
Let me be blunt. The conservatives are driven exclusively by hatred. There's nothing rational about it. Their only goal (if it can be called that) is to cause pain and distress, because they enjoy it. Even if it's their own. Sometimes especially if it's their own. Theirs is a worldview based around sadism. At every turn, they will with 100% certainly take the action that causes the most injury to the most people. They can always be counted on to say and do the things that will cause the deepest offense and pain. Not because they're clueless. Not because they're misguided. Not because they're "trolls." There is no "lol u mad bro?" at the end of what a conservative does. They're perfectly sincere in their desire to inflict and enjoy suffering.

When I say there is no conservative plan, I mean that. It's a sort of optical illusion. it's all these people, some with power, most without, all trying to get their jollies off by causing harm. Some methods are more effective than others, and so there tends to be a gravitation towards such things that gives the appearance of an "agenda" - but in truth it's a whole lot of random motherfuckers doing whatever it takes to get their "fix" for that moment.

The conservative voter voting against his best-interest isn't behaving with any sort of rationale. He's not ill-informed, he's not deluded, he's simply trying to get that fix; it's junkie logic. "If I vote this way, a lot of people will suffer for it, and that makes me happy. I'll suffer too, but that just gives me more fuel to hate with."

And no mincing here. I really do mean all conservatives. There are no "good guys" left over there. No straggling holdouts. The conservative movement has spent nearly forty years purging its ranks of any sort of reason, intellectualism, or empathic individuals, and has been growing more shrill, more hateful, and more harmful the entire time. If someone says, "I am a conservative," then they are simply hoping you will give them the benefit of the doubt that they 'aren't like those other guys' in order to make it easier for them to find some way to stab you and laugh. It always comes out that way.

We need to reconsider our approach. There really is no educating conservatives at this point. There's no way to engage in meaningful debate with a person who has defined their existence by expressing hatred. There's no way to compromise with someone whose only goal is to hurt you. They're lost causes, and we need to work around, rather than trying to engage.

100% agree - they live to cause misery observation is absolutely true

i know a business owner who experienced "gold level" service at a hotel, where each employee said or did anything in their power to make him comfy and happy and I suspect he smelled fear in the employees, that they knew they better treat him this way or he could have them fired

he loved this experience, he raved about it...

but he doesnt own a restaurant or a hotel or a service business, he owns a professional office, several, but he has decided to institute the same thing with professionals and office workers, and he is doing it because he knows they all fear losing their job, that he can use the economy to scare them into working harder etc

T E R R O R I S T and the only way to combat this is with unions, no wonder they want to destroy all unions...

Palin: Walker win proves austerity ‘will help our nation’

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/06/06/p ... ur-nation/

Snip:

Quote:
“It’s good and encouraging news,” Palin told Fox News host Greta Van Susteren after Walker defeated Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett on Tuesday. “It’s good for the entire country because people are going to recognize through Gov. Walker’s efforts that austerity measures — responsible austerity measures of reigning in government growth — really will help our nation as a whole with the economic woes that we face.”
